Libby Carter wanted to get away from it all, so she took a job mining asteroids as far out into the inky blackness as possible. However, her escape turned into a trap, leaving her stuck in indentured servitude, living on a tiny rock in space. As she tries to dig herself out, she gains friends and finds adventure. Cave-in rescues, planetary collisions, and other mishaps keep her new family fighting to stay alive.

Thoroughly enjoyed this story. Characterisations and the plot are well done.

Buddy, Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. I've been working on it a lot in preparation for the print version, and you may enjoy the new beginning more. Still, I think you're right about her motivations being somewhat opaque. I had it clear in my mind, but perhaps I could illustrate it better in the story. Thanks again!

Just bought the Ebook, thanks to J.C. Hutchins. However,in doing so, also saw a podiobook (I really need to come here more often...) I really enjoyed the story. Perhaps a bit slow to start, or at least, the beginning could have been done to greater effect. For instance, a bit more of a peek into what motivates Libby's need for such autonomy and self-reliance to the exclusion of community would be interesting. The end felt a bit rushed, too, and for the same sort of character back story kinds of reasons. Great start, though, and there's really lots of room here to really flesh this out quite a lot. Count me a new fan and eager to see what else comes (not just from the last tumbler).
