Folks, I appreciate the listeners, and especially the listeners who care enough about the trolls to vote, or to leave a comment. Some people have even shown their appreciation with a donation. While I'm happy--ecstatic--that people are wanting to support podiobooks.com, for myself, I don't want your money. This book is a small part of my work in the world, and I'm happy you've all come along to check it out. I'm elated that some of the folks who listen in are enjoying it. Elated, and humbled. That is plenty enough reward for me. I therefore ask that if you feel an urge to part with a few bucks over this book that you "pay it forward." I've asked Evo to give the author's portion of any donations for my books to First Book, an organization that shoulders the task of providing books to children of low income families. "Do you remember the magic of your first book?" they ask. I do. I'll bet you do too. Working together, we can identify kids who might find the same magic and comfort in books as we do, and give them an opportunity they might not otherwise have. Jeff, thanks so much for this book. My two sons get to listen to two episodes a night before bed, and they LOVE the story. They're always eager for story time. The narration is perfect, too.
