I was unimpressed with the writing, the plot, the characters, the narration and the audio quality. I have no idea what the previous person found “very interesting” in this book.
How stupid is Chance Dugan that he leaves his wallet in his car? that he can’t figure out how to get back to the car? that he can’t wait long enough for his friend to call and give a credit card number over the phone? The only thing I found credible about the book was the models of the cars. I think they were real cars.
The fact that people have rated this book more than one star says more about the lack of sophistication and experience of the raters than it does about the quality of the book. (It could also be that the raters have other reasons for rating this book inaccurately: they are friends of the author; they have written bad books themselves and don’t want people to rate their efforts honestly, etc.)
The fact that I managed to listen to the whole book is a reflection of the many hours I spend driving and a tribute to my stamina.
