Podiobooks.com people gathering at Balticon!
We’re not quite big enough for a Podiobooks.com convention of our own. Sure, we’re pushing out over 500 serialized free audio books, and have tens of thousands of listeners… but herding all those cats together to try and make a conference or convention happen isn’t in the cards this year.
But that doesn’t stop intrepid podiobooking people from making it happen anyhow. Gatherings happen at various conventions all over the place, but the biggest gathering by far seems to be happening at Balticon in Baltimore, MD in late May.

The people you see listed above will be doing a host of things at Balticon: giving panel presentations, interrupting other panel presentations, singing books, launching new books, giving book readings, selling books, drinking, partying, and generally having a very good time.
Would you like to join us?
You’ve still got plenty of time to make travel plans and register if you want to come see these fine folks. Fair warning — Balticon is the Maryland Regional Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention. While we have a very strong contingent (possibly the biggest), we’re playing in someone else’s sandbox. If you randomly walk up to someone asking where the Podiobooks.com people are, they may look at you funny.
But if you instead seek out the new media track, or just hangout in the bar waving around your .mp3 player, we’ll probably find you.
See you in Baltimore!

Are you going to organize a get-together for users of this site? If so, are you thinking about starting a special twitter account or email list for this purpose?

Hm. Your list seems a little short.

Do you mean at Balticon? Well.. sure! That’s what Balticon is. One big place to gather.
But I don’t really see a need to crank out a new Twitter account (all the folks above tweet plenty as it is). Or even an email list. Unless you’ve got an idea I’m missing…

I’ll be there as a guest, too!

I will be attending as well. I’m probably not going to be the only guest also attending SiglerFest as well. I look forward to meeting all of you.
