Now releasing Parallel Worlds: Nothing is as it seems…
Please welcome Heather Macauley Noell to the site. Today we begin releasing the serialized audiobook version of her work of inspirational fiction, Parallel Worlds: Nothing is as it seems…
“Heather Macauley Noell represents a welcomed new addition to the great storytellers of the human spirit.” – DEEPAK CHOPRA, M.D.
Parallel Worlds is a fascinating, gripping tale of adventure and love that delves into deep universal truths.
The story is about a pair of teenagers, Amelia and Matthew, who are trapped in a parallel world where they must retrieve information from their past lifetimes before they can return to their own world.
Yet underlying the story is a message so powerful, so life-changing and controversial, it has been concealed for thousands of years – because these truths are capable of changing our current world forever.
At the end of the story you’ll hear a discussion called “The Truth Behind the Fiction,” and you may want to hear the story again in light of this new information!
Parallel Worlds is recommended if you like fiction that is spiritual (not religious): The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield; The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho; A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle; Harry Potter by JK Rowling.
Madeleine L’Engle, author of ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ wrote: “It’s no coincidence that just at this point in our insight into our mysteriousness as human beings struggling towards compassion, we are also moving into an awakened interest in the language of myth and fairy tale. The language of logical arguments, of proofs, is the language of the limited self we know and can manipulate. But the language of parable and poetry, of storytelling, moves from the imprisoned language of the provable into the freed language of what I must, for lack of another word, continue to call faith.”

I love the innocent appeal of the characters–Matthew and Amelia, and the universalality of their fears and insecurities. The story is amazingly imaginative and quite fantastic, and yet somehow applicable to everyday life on multiple levels–shedding new light and possibility into the depths and meaning of relationships. Parallel Worlds powerfully swoops the reader into a fantasy world whilst reminding us of our infinite potential as creators and magical beings.

My Review: Parallel Worlds by Heather Macaulay.
I have been a huge fan of Heather Macaulay, ever since I’ve first come across her beautiful audio CD, The Silent Language of Peace. This was more than two years ago. Since then I have shared her audios and website with all my friends, and loved ones. I have been keeping a close eye on her website, and have gained so much peace, love and insight through it.
I am deeply grateful for all that Heather has shared with us, and for all that she has taught us. Her messages that “Everything is OK” and that Love is the most important thing, have meant so much to me. It certainly did give me Peace.
I was privileged to get a sneak-preview of chapter 4 – 7 (I think) of her new book, Parallel worlds, a few months ago, when I saw it on offer on her website. Since then her story have been playing on my mind, and I have been eagerly looking forward to the launch of the whole book.
Oh my, and what a story it is! So beautifully written, and so beautifully read by Heather herself. I loved listening to her audio every night. It is a story I will return to over and over again. As we are approaching a time of Great Awakening, it is my wish that thousands upon thousands will hear this story, and that they will hear and understand the spiritual messages and the universal truths behind this story.

Parallel Worlds review
I alternated between reading the e-book and listening to the audio, depending on my mood. Sometimes I enjoyed reading it and sometimes I succumbed to the pleasure of hearing Heather’s beautiful voice as I lounged around in a reclining chair, eyes closed.
I loved this book! I was amazed at how quickly I was gripped and how much I cared about the characters. I value stories such as this that can be read on more than one level; as a simple adventure or an opportunity to ponder one’s own beliefs and assumptions. For me it held a message of hope and of the transformative power of Love.
Parallel Worlds is beautifully written, thought provoking, occasionally very surprising, always meaningful and deeply moving. I admit to crying on at least 2 occasions!
All in all, I found it a five star Christmas treat of a story!

Thank you Willow, Martie, Johnna and Heather for your comments. (On smashwords.com there are 34 reviews, but there’s no way for me to comment or thank anyone for taking the time to write about the story – so this is really exciting!)
I have to tell you, Heather, that I too cried on more than 2 occasions myself when writing the book!
There was the ‘ending’ … I cried! And then there was the ending of the epilogue… I cried again!!
Now you’d think that since I’m the author I would know how my story was going to end. I didn’t! It flowed into my mind like a movie … I’d see these beautiful scenes and feel the emotions of my characters as if I was right there. My eyes got all watery and I was sniffling away as I tried to write!
Those moments are truly sublime (unlike the editing process – which took a year!)

This story has the potential to really create an entirely new society that is completely in tune with the Earth and our own bodies. I enjoyed Heather’s first book, Children of Light, so much that I would easily call Heather my favorite author. If every teenager and parent listened to this book, no doubt the world would change dramatically, and so would their relationship to each other. It is so beautifully woven and as you listen, you really get in touch with deep emotions on a level that I have yet to feel from any other writer. So many profound truths in this!

Parallel Worlds is a wonderful yarn! Heather is a natural writer, taking me into worlds of meaningful dimensions, with characters as endearing as old friends. I am partial to science fiction. I have enjoyed being open to the possibilities of our human experience intermingling with other possible influences, realities, and God. This is `good for the soul’, satisfying from cover to cover.

A mystical sci-fi teen romance with fantastic modern ideas coming from quantum physics using the various possibilities that String Theory and M Theory offer us, but in no way going beyond comprehension, it also has natural earth elements (i.e. there is a civilization in the book which lives in peace and harmony with fellow men and nature and how they do this has relevance for today’s times) I can’t recommend it highly enough. It will open great avenues for discussion if parents read it too. Also it has helpful revelations of the ways boys and girls think which could assist teens negotiating the pitfalls and snubs and perceived slights which occur in relationships.

It takes a writer of unparalleled spiritual insight and wordsmith talent to weave a story that appeals to both the young and the old on all levels. This is storytelling in it’s highest form, a talent for which the bards of old were both worshipped and adored. They related tales that taught us wisdom, illuminated the human condition and steered us onto a path of inner discovery. Heather Macauley Noell has succeeded in following thru in that tradition of storytale enchantment while teaching us at the same time. Read or listen to her book and allow yourself to get carried away on a journey of discovery that is at once satisfying and meaningful to both your spirit and to your soul. Thank you, Heather.

Thank you Heather Macauley for such a wonderful book. It was absolutely wonderful and a breath of fresh air. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of your work and visit your website often. I find myself reading or listening to the same material that you have written over and over and everytime is like the first time. I learn something new, I hear something new and just when I think I understand it, I gain a new insight. Thank you so much for all that you do. Parallel Words was incredible and uplifting. Parallel Worlds definitely transports you to another reality whilst reading it. I am on my own spiritual journey and this book helps bring into our conciousness the possibility/probability that we also can access these worlds.
I have no doubt whatsoever that after hearing Parellel Worlds it will sow a seed of tranformation within the listener that will open them to their own multi-dimentional beingness. Hold onto your seats now, for a really fast ride into other dimensions.

I love Heather’s work! She has a way of uplifting the reader as she tells the story. It doesn’t matter your age…it’s a very well written novel that will appeal to adults as well as young adults.
I really love Amelia and Matthew. The characters really came to life for me in the audio version. If you’re familiar with the Anastasia series, you will love this book. Even if you’re not, I think you’ll love it anyway. Read it with an open mind, and you may see some of the magic for yourself.
Heather, you do some awesome work…thank you for sharing it with us!

I listened to the audio version of Parallel worlds…. and immediately wanted to share it with others It was uplifting, creative, thought provoking and fun! I especially wanted young people to hear or read it as it opens them up to ideas they may not have been exposed too. Heather has a lovely voice and it is definitely easy listening, the music is enchanting! I highly recommend sitting with your kids and enjoying this highly entertaining novel. I hope there is more to come from this family team, I work with my son as well and know how rewarding that can be once you work out the kinks…. Great Job!

Heather Macaulay’s work has changed my life. My journey with Heather began with the CD, “The Silent Language of Peace.” As I put the principles learned in this CD to use in my life, I found myself enjoying more peace and connectedness.
While “Parallel Worlds” is written in a fiction genre, so many truths ring true. There are many life lessons to learn through this work. It is beautifully narrated with inspirational music and I thank Heather for sharing her wisdom and bringing us closer to our higher selves through her work.

I just started to listen to the audio and I am definitely loading it onto my mp3 player now that I have finished the book. The music and the sound of Heather’s voice adds depth and meaning which helps to pull you, body, mind and soul and spirit into the story so that it feels like you are living it as they are. It was an amazing read
I got so caught up in the story it was as if they were living their lives in my mind as I read and I could ‘see clearly’, all the actions that they were taking and feel the wonder, anxiety, fear and love that they experienced on their journey. Wondering now… when will the sequel come out?!!!

not trying to be a stick in the mud but you really have nothing more than a rudimentary understanding of the roman legions do you? next to conn iggulden this was the the most flagrant gloss over of whatthe romans were, how they fought and who they were as a people. caesar never went to siberia. he never went farther than the rhine. hell, caesar was more concerned with the civil war with gnaeus pompey magnus then… what … siberia? plus it was still a republic when caesar was in power. it didn’t turn into an empire until Agaustus. know it before you spew it.

Peterson,
Based on your closing comment “know it before you spew it” – I assume you are rather passionate about your personal point of view.
So maybe it would be best to define fiction: “a literary work based on the imagination and not necessarily on fact.”
The fact that the story is called “Parallel Worlds: Nothing is as it seems…” should indicate that there is more than one world – therefore an “alternate” history/reality would be expected – would it not?
I figure if my listeners are going to ‘saddle up’ and find themselves nearly sucked into a black hole, then blasted into nothingness, followed by past lifetimes, etc. – why not concoct something new and different, and, above all, historically inaccurate, while I’m at it? Isn’t that what imagination is all about?
According to Winston Churchill “History is written by the victors.” In which case, imagination is probably a bigger part of history than most people would concede!

I want to quickly thank everyone who enjoyed Parallel Worlds for sharing your experience and writing a review!!
And for those reading through the comments, it should be clear that Parallel Worlds is a spiritual or “visionary” work of fiction. The intent is to open consciousness to alternate possibilities.
One of my favorite authors once said, “It’s no coincidence that just at this point in our insight into our mysteriousness as human beings struggling towards compassion, we are also moving into an awakened interest in the language of myth and fairy tale. The language of logical arguments, of proofs, is the language of the limited self we know and can manipulate. But the language of parable and poetry, of storytelling, moves from the imprisoned language of the provable into the freed language of what I must, for lack of another word, continue to call faith.”

I made it through all the episodes, but just barely. The writing was painfully slow and more preachy than focused on plot. Clearly the book is trying to come off as the next best thing since sliced bread but unless you are into religious dogma I’d give this book a pass.

First book i ever finished by myself, took me on a journey i will never forget.

Made it through to the end — but I suffered!! Narrative was good, characters were good but for an older fantasy-scifi fan, it was full of over the top language (bubbling brooks, sparkling air etc.) and far too preachy. I must not be the target audience — it irritated me to the extent that the spiritual message was totally lost.
