To listen to a Mike Bennett is the closest thing to listening to a full cast audio drama. He rules and he rocks and can make anything a great listen..
And here he has Edgar Allen Poe and H.P. Lovecraft to tease us with….
as I await the next encore of Underwood & Flinch.

Mike Bennetts Reading are brilliant. None of the other readers of these stories whom I’ve heard can equal his rendition of every character’s voice so clearly and appropriately that you don’t even need to be told who’s speaking. Amazing!

The other commenters reflect my sentiments, the reading by Mike Bennett is brilliant.

The stories are a varied selection of classic horror shorts in the public domain. Classics by Mark Twain, H.P. Lovecraft and more.

Honestly I’d like to bottle up Mike Bennett’s voice and pass it out to anybody thinking of creating an Audiobook. He’s really that good.

More pleasurable than reading these great stories by these monuments of our literary heritage is having Mike Bennett read them for me! If you didn’t know, Mr. Bennett is not only an accomplished narrator but a stellar writer in his own right. Really! If you haven’t heard him performing his own work yet, you are missing out!

Thank you again Podiobooks, for bringing all this great stuff into my life!

I am a huge, huge fan of Mike Bennett. He is one talented guy. His “One Among the Sleepless” here at Podiobooks is first-rate (dark humor/horror) and his own short fiction “Hall of Mirrors” collections are likewise excellent. Many, many good tales in those two Hall of Mirrors volumes. I really like his short story “Salvation” which is about to be published in an anthology. But his current work, “Underwood & Flinch” is easily one of the best vampire stories I’ve read (er, listened to) in a LONG time. Of course, his narration is stellar — he could probably make a ton of money doing voice over, narration, or commercial work. Anyway, thanks, Mike!! Can’t wait for U&F Part 2. :-)

Am up to date on underwood and flinch, listened to both hall of mirrors included “wet velvet” and am now on this. If I’m not mistaken, this collection and sometimes are pretty much the same but to make sure, I’m going to go to your web site (I visit both often for updates) and make sure I do not miss any. After this, I’ll read Among the Sleepless. Thank you for doing this! :)
