Bobby and the Bedouins – New and COMPLETE!
I wonder how many of these short novels Tom Lichtenberg has under his belt? Today you’re getting Bobby and the Bedouins:
Mario Flambeau was once a guitar god, a superstar in the psychedelic heyday. Now he’s a burned-out wreck. When a desperate producer finds him in a church basement in a band with other derelicts, he has visions of a major comeback payday. Add a drummer with an anger management problem and a preening drifter diva lead singer, and you’ve got all the makings of a true rock and roll apocalypse.
It’s only five episodes long. You pick between a custom feed or the default feed. The first gives you episodes one at a time. The other has ‘em all in there ready to roll. Both are free!

This is a nice entertaining story. The audio quality is great and I really love the way that the episodes start and end quickly. No endless music or chatter, just a quick start and stop.

i found it slow to get going, just this guy rambling on about his youth. i eventually skipped the rest of ep1 and when ep2 started off in a similar vein, I gave up. Sorry, but the promised tale of RnR mayhem took too long to get going. Also, the reader has a very soft voice it should have been amplified, cause now i had to crank the volume on my mp3 player to max to hear it when walking on the street.
On the upside I do agree with the previous poster that the swift starting is good, if only more podcasters did that and not bother us with the jingles they themselves like but I don’t
If I want to listen to jingles I’d listen to the radio or watch tv, just give us the story we wanted to hear, or at least make the music really *add* to the story.
