Loner In Space

Steve Simons brings you more family friendly science fiction. Today he’s beginning the release of Loner In Space:

This book was written originally for children, but the adults in Steve’s test audience also enjoyed it.

The book tells the story of a boy who is a bit of a loner at school
and in life. His home life is also a bit in tatters since his mum died.
The book takes up the story when he discovers something in the woods,
near where he lives, little does he know where his discovery will take him,
but the title of the book gives you an idea, what will he find there?
Will he still be alone?

Dare you join Paul as he becomes Loner in Space?

ADVICE: This book not suitable for really young children, suggested audience 8 plus.

The first eight episodes are in the default feed. Steve loads ‘em up pretty fast, so you may want to get a custom feed so your podcatcher downloads all of them with skipping any episodes.

As the blurb says this is a children’s story but can be enjoyed by adults as well. The story gets moving straight away, no mucking about. The narration and sound quality are good although there is no story so far at the beginning, it just gets straight in to it.
    Recommended.

    Hi Jason,

Thanks for you comment and compliments, its reassuring that you confirm what my test audience have said about this book, it is enjoyed by adults as well as children. I’m glad also that you appreciated the “no mucking about” approach I took with this one, children and many adults come to that don’t like convoluted opening plots. I had to do some scene setting to identify the loner aspect of Paul’s character, things really pick up in chapters 5 and 8, but that’s not to say the story isn’t enjoyable before then, its just thats where the action starts.

Enjoy… remember there are other books “The Gateway”, “THe Sphere of Time” and “The Sphere of Travel” also by me. There’s a new one on its way “Regenis 4 Chronicals”, watch this space.

    All Best Wishes
    …SteveS
