Brian, this is said in a rather gruff way...

Good Job, with a book that approaches the unknown in a rather epic way...

Next is meant as a deep and serious compliment...

You are one sick (letter 13/letter 6) ahem! Good job again, sir.

Overall, I thought that the story line was good. I would recommend to the author that he hire a narrator for future works. Although he has a fine voice with rich tone he reads without emotion. The flatness was exacerbated by the simple prose found throughout the story. There were times during the listen that I suspected some reading device was being used.

I found the overall story interesting and basically enjoyed it. I did have a problem with some technical details such as God being a weakened powerless entity much like an elderly man, and chants or spells spoken from a book have more power than anything. It seems to me that although God created everything and everyone - angels, demons, humans, etc in the universe, he somehow is second to the utterance of some words by a human or somehow left the door open to allow his own demise by a mere human who speaks a few words with some candles lit. In other words, it gives more power to the symbols and spells than to God. As if God has very limited power or there's a greater power in the spells.

Easily top 5 for me. Great story, nice character development, what a great view of a hard to breach subject. I found myself empathizing with Jack on many levels. It was quite easy to get lost in this story! Can’t wait for #2 (if there is one) or another entry from Mr. Holtz. A+

Wow. Just wow. This is unlike any other story I've heard. A really good look into the relationship into god and satan without being religious. The characters are great. It's dark and creepy. My kind of stuff. I can't wait to hear what you have coming up next.

This is really a fantastic piece of work.

Everything about it has been done so exceptionally well that Just can't fault it. Worse/better, the story had such depth and dimension, I was left pondering the concepts behind this weird alternate world for sometime. It is an strangely disturbing tale not for the faint hearted, and one I think some may find distinctly unpalatable.

The characters and the plot are so well developed, the story so well thought out, infused with excitement and detail, they put me in the odd perspective of accomplished visualisation I don't often experience.

The production is very good and Brian Holtz's vocal delivery is nothing short of spectacular. I really enjoyed this dark tale, and how ever many stars it takes to recieve a first class rating, it deserves them all and probably an extra one for good measure.

Excellent.

Hey, Brian, Darker indeed! I've listened to two episodes (so far) and was glad that I did. Stopping after the first one might have been a problem, quite chilling. You have an excellent voice that adds considerable atmosphere to Nephilim Push.
