The author strives to make it as historically accurate as possible, so you really feel like you're swept back to the 1930's. If you're into historical fiction this book will be right up your alley. Also, on a personal note, I love the narrating author's accent. I was born in Florida, but my family is from the Midwest, so the narration felt endearingly familiar to me. Thanks! I usually finish any book I start. Audio or otherwise. I couldn't do it with this one. Really more of a love story than anything, this recording is unedited with the author pausing after every screw up to say "Change" and start the line over. Wouldn't be nearly as annoying if he didn't make so many. The author's monotone voice and writing style left me bored and tired. I can't really recommend this one to anyone.
