Another example of how giving it away for free can translate into a paying writing gig
This weekend is shaping up to be all about great news for our authors getting published. Or just indicative of how slow I am at updates. 
Stacey Cochran has been with us here for a while now and has released video of some great news: his first advance payment from St. Martin’s Press. It makes for a good story, since it’s not been all fun and games for Stacey along the way. And no, he’s not getting rich. But he is receiving a mid-five-figure advance to complete a textbook on writing. The deal includes a major technology grant (low five figures) to be used towards developing audio/video web content as a companion to the book.
Congrats to Stacey for busting your tail and looking at every opportunity possible to make your dreams come true.
