Absolutely enjoyed this Story! My Housework took on new verve while listening to it. The narrator was great and the voices interesting. Would love to hear something more from this author. I would definitely buy this in hard copy! Thanks for an enjoyable week!

This is a fun book and the narrator is really good. I laughed out loud many times while listening. I would recommend this author but even more I would recommend the narrator.

I recently downloaded this in itunes, and even though I didn’t care for the cover art, I loved, loved, loooooooved the story. I really liked the different voices/accents for the characters, especially Lupe. For some odd reason it was like a giggle attack everytime I heard “her” talk, maybe she reminds me of someone…
All in all, I finished it and moved on to the next book, but stopped in the middle and listened to this one again!!!! I had no issues w/ the sound, def no echo, so it might be equipment-related. I cannot wait for the next book, I absolutely loved the tone of this one. I’m not a girly girl myself and thought this was pretty accurate, and not a mushy love story. I’m going to steal another reviewer’s line from their itunes review “Mason is a mess…but I love him” Yeah, that skinny little lunatic is all sorts of endearing =)
Keep up the good work both of you and get more books out!

Loved the story. Loved the narration. It kept me engaged…I couldn’t get enough of it! I thought the accents were pretty good… it must’ve been hard keeping the accents straight with so many diverse characters… but loved it even though.

Now I’m sad because the story is over!

Yes! The long awaited debut book by author Cate Brody is now in pre-production. So…..accents or no accents? It’s been very mixed reviews and let me tell you that they’re HARD to do with any amount of consistency.

You have until I’m back from my vacation in August. If I don’t see any comments, I’m gonna flip a coin, I tell ya!

We’ve upgraded the studio a bit, so hopefully this will help with the sound quality.

omg i loved the book,mason was totally smexy but childish my favorite character was Wayne Hayter it was just awesome great storyline and voices.

I loved the story, great job! The only negative comment i have is the terrible, terrible accents. At first I thought that Mason must be deaf and that’s why you did his voice that way….I didn’t realise till the character said he was English that that was the accent you were trying to do. Other than that, I can’t fault your story…I really enjoyed every minute (albiet the accents), and can’t wait till you bring out another one!

I’m not usually chick lit fan but now I’ll be on the lookout for more! This book was great, the writing always kept me engaged. I was dying to know what would happen by the end.
Don’t let any negative reviews get you down, Anna, your voicework was fantastic. It always takes a while for a listner to get used to the narrator’s voice, perhaps they simply needed to give it more time.

Thanks Maggie. I know what you mean. I went through the roller coaster of emotions, at times loving and respecting and hating and being sick about the characters. It just goes to show what a great author Cate is, when you think about the fact that these are all paper people that don’t exist, it makes me laugh. But we can relate, or totally be disgusted by, or secretly love them, in all their flawed glory.

I just wanted to say that I love this book. I loved the characters, the plot and especially the love scenes! I was surprised at how much I actually got into the whole story and was yelling at the characters throughout. Absolutely loved it.
