Double Share wonderful. I read first 3 Share books. I was too impatient to wait for Double Share, thus the podcast. My contribution to podiobooks was a bargain. This is my first sci fi reading and not my last.

Discovered Quarter Share as an Amazon promotion for the Kindle edition. I immersed myself in discovering how things worked on the Lois, and quickly downloaded the next two books. When I could not find Double Share for the Kindle, I came looking here. Learning to not be distracted because my eyes were not involved took a couple of chapters, but it was not too long before I was able to, well, wrap your storytelling around myself.

Thank you for the hours of entertainment! It was like discovering Forrester, Jack London, or Weber all over again.

Yes, Edward, I can well imagine how pointless Podiobooks are to the deaf community.

Double Share is slated for release this month, but my publisher is now suggesting it might be October. Captain’s Share is on tap for December and Owner’s next April.

Sir: I happen to be deaf…. Podbooks (I am familiar with the concept, but have never “heard” one) are, as you can imagine, USELESS to me.

When -oh when- are DoubleShare, Captain’sShare and Owner’sShare coming out in print? I don’t need hardcopy – Amazon ebooks (I have a Kindle) are just the ticket.

Best one yet. Love the series and I’m happy that I don’t have to wait for the next episode. It’s made me look forward to my long commute to and from work, although sometimes I cheat and listen when I’m at home or the gym. I could not put this one down, though I didn’t want it to end.

Wow. I will say that i have listened with interest to all the books in this series, but this one was fantastic. Easily the best podcast i’ve listened to. Great Job Nathan!

I’ve been listening to this book on my commute to work. I loved the other books and this one was no letdown. It killed me to leave my car because all I wanted to do was listen to the book. I’m already downloading the last two. Love the author’s voice while reading them as well. He always seems to get the inflections just right.

I am currently in China in a remote part of the country with little access to entertainment or western culture. I found your audio books and have been listening to them with glee! I love that you have given me the sense of being in space without overwhelming the story with technical verbosity. I love Ish’s sense of humor and other characters as well. Much like the Dresden Files in a way. My favorite passage so far is when he ponders being in a small bubble of air on a ship and compares that to a planet, both being very small part of the huge deep dark. Great narration, great characters, nice plots! Thanks for making my evenings entertaining.

Some great comments here, Adam! Thanks.

I’ve read Card’s work, of course, but it wasn’t a conscious inspiration. I’d credit Lee and Miller’s Liadan Universe, L.E. Modesitt’s Recluse series, and David Weber’s Honor-verse as being more direct influences.

Smuggling – law enforcement in general – is certainly a possibility for future tales. I actually have a half-baked notion about what might be an interesting direction for future works. It needs to percolate a bit, but I think there’s some stories lurking around under the surface.
