Christiana is in a class of her own. If you like quick and cunning wit along with colorful writing and damn fine production, Space Casey will most definitely steel your heart and maybe your underpants.

The characters were great, the narration excellent, and the dialog witty. Space Casey has all the great makings of an excellent story. I’d love to turn it into a comic book, I could visually the whole story as I went along and thought it would make for some pretty funny drawings.

Wow, Just Wow, Space Casey is Laugh almost out loud( I mean In secret.) Fun ride with Casey as she attempts to get out of trouble she got herself into. and finds the trouble is bigger than she thought. Casey is a likable character surrounded by quirky characters like Al her neurotic fashion designing computer. to Stripey(?) her pet (?) alien. Listen and enjoy.

The story is good, the voices are very good, and it’s a lot of fun to listen to. It is well put together. The “bloopers” section is hysterical! It also shows how much work went into the podcast production and I, for one, really appreciate it. I’ve listened to it a couple of times now and it still makes me laugh out loud. Nina Kimberly is a distant cousin of Casey’s, make sure to read them both. (“Nina Kimberly the Merciless”) Both are characters that say things I wish I could get away with saying! And both attract very odd pets -

I enjoyed this story immensely. I like the smart-alec character of Casey, the slightly feminine computer, Alex, and the dozen other characters as well. The story is light hearted and comical, but intriguing. I found myself wishing there was more or for a sequal, (Hint, Hint), lol. To say Christiana Ellis is one of the finest female writers is a discredit, she is one of the best writers, period, male or female. I look forward to listening or reading more of her material in the future.

I listened to this right after Nina Kimberly and I loved both of them immensely. The main characters have this strange quality where you want to hate them for doing bad things, but sympathize with them because you know the in the same situation, you’d probably do the same thing. The use of a varied cast for the different characters really added to the production as well. I can’t wait to hear what she does next.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It has a definite Douglas Adamsian wit to it. The characters are well-written and wonderfully acted. Even the music gets you jazzed up and ready to listen. If there is anything wrong with this story it is how short it is. My only hope is that this is but a tease of greater adventures to come for Casey.

This series is as fun as a barrel full of monkeys – or even an infinite number of monkeys who might, by coincidence alone, type the complete works of Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams. This story is the most fun I’ve had listening to a sci-fi audio drama since the five novel “Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy” trilogy.
I’m sure that Ms. Ellis would have included an infinite number of monkeys, but just didn’t have room in her fast-paced zany ride of a story – it’s just that good.
It’s so good they just had to give Christiana a Parsec Award for it! (Or else she just might have written embarrassing roles for them in the sequel. O.k. she’s nicer than that, but she might have thought about it real hard; however, she saves the REALLY embarrassing roles for herself, as is self-evident in “Space Casey”.)
Listen to the first episode an you’ll be hooked – “Trust me”!

Once I started listening to this, I couldn’t stop! This is one of those audiobooks that, if you listened to this in public, people would look at you weird for laughing out loud for no apparently reason. Sci-fi comedy is a genre that definitely needs more attention, and I’m glad to see such an excellent new addition. Thank you!

This Podiobook was completely riveting. I was totally sucked into the world of Space Casey and felt a little disappointed when it was all done. Thank you for your wonderful work.

Comic (and cosmic) space opera meets the best of radio drama. The story is fun and funny (and I don’t even have a time machine) and (as the awards and other comments show), the production value is amazing.
Since I compare this favorably with Harry Harrison’s humorous space operas (Bill the Galactic Hero and the very beginning of the Stainless Steel Rat), I have only two arguments: it is short (too short) and there is not (yet) a sequel. I am a tough critic and I really enjoyed myself listening to this.
And, if the awards aren’t enough for you on the production side, listen to some of the music. No, really, I had never been to Podsafe Music. I went after finishing the book (yes, the music is good; the story is better) and found a whole bunch of interesting music. Surf music for science fiction soundtrack? It sure works in this piece.

I only just started the third episode, but I absolutely love this story! And the ship’s “cat” sounds adorable in a completely alien and gross sort of way! I love it!

I made the mistake of downloading this podcast. Well, “mistake” might be too severe of a word considering after the first episode I had to take half a day off work to listen to the whole series in its entirety. The whole series is wicked-brilliant! I only wish the author hadn’t wrapped-up the end of the series so neatly that I can’t imagine room for a sequel. Hopefully she will surprise me… soon (hint, hint). Wonderful cameos and great surf music!
The only thing left dangling was that I kept waiting for somebody to say “I’m Wrong” at the most inopportune moment.
Again, giant kudos to Ms Ellis and the crew!

I just listened to this book and I couldn’t turn it off.
It is great! As noted earlier, the only problem is it’s TOO SHORT!

Great concepts, great story, great twists and turns. I love how you consistently challenge the roles that women usually play in adventure stories.
Some how I can see Nina Kimberly leaving the venerable (or is that venereal?) James T. Kirk heart broken on a blue planet somewhere!!! ☺

Hysterical! Absolutely hysterical! I just couldn’t stop listening to this book once I got started and ended up finishing it the same day I picked it up. The work Christiana and all of the others put into this podcast is excellent and the writing is superb! I don;t mean to gush, but I had been putting off listening to Space Casey for quite a while. Now I know what I was missing out on, I will never again deprive myself of anything written by Christiana Ellis

If I had one (and only one) complaint about this book…it ended too soon. THis was, by far, one of the most entertaining stories I’ve yet heard.
I’m usually a fan of far more serious stories, such as those spun by Scott Sigler or David Weber, but I can honestly say that this audio presentation had me absolutely rapt from beginning to end…I could have listened for another 3 hours-at least.
Excellent audio-dramatics, foley work, and presentation overall.
I will look forward to the next installment with utmost anticipation.
