Nocturnal

The master of gore and original podcast fiction author Scott Sigler returns with Nocturnal:

Something lives deep beneath the streets of San Francisco. Something that has been there for centuries, something which comes out at night to feed on the dregs of society. A sub-culture with its own myths and its own legends.

Stories of a leader named The King, who will lead them out of bondage, and their own demon, a hunting shadow known only as Savior. But the legends of Savior’s brutality have faded, the fear used only within fables told to the young ones about their hunter.

When The King finally appears, just as foretold, the Nocturnals know their time has come — the time to emerge from under the streets and hunt humanity in the open.

I’ve just started listening, but I’m impressed already! Nice production and interesting story. Lots of ‘adult’ language, but not overdone.

  3. Jen Says:

This is one of the best books I’ve “read”!
Great story and production. Appropriate use of ‘adult’ language.
The characters are great and you really get pulled into the story like you’re right there with them.

    I anxiously await each chapter.

    A definite recommend!

Good scary stuff. Well-paced, hysterically funny (especially anytime Pookie Change is around), and blood chillingly frightening. I’m putting this one at the top of the Siglerlicious collection.

I love this novel!! Thank you Scott for putting so much effort and passion into your writing! And I have to say, the latest “easily offended” warning made me laugh so much I had to share it with my husband - who also had to listen to it three or four times it was so funny! Thank you for sharing your works with us!

Awesome Book! Sigler is an amazing author. As a narrator he is Hysterical!!! I love it when he does Pookie and don’t get me started on Sigler in ANY female voice. The story itself is fantastic! I’m on chapter 25, been listening for the past 3 days any chance I get. Thank YOu Mr. Sigler!!!

This one’s his second best I think. I loved The Rookie. This one’s a close second. Once you get past all the Scott Sigler self-love the story is good.

  13. zZzacha Says:

This is my favorite Scott Sigler novel so far. Love it! Nocturnal has nice dark suspense, wonderful characters, great humor and it has all the gore the Scott Sigler junkies know and love.
Oh, and I forget to say that the person reading the chapters really is AWESOME!!!! All those great voices, the swwweet humor. You read it wel, Mr. Scott Sigler. Love your work.

  14. Spencer Says:

I was a big Sigler fan but I have a BIG PROBLEM WITH THIS BOOK. Scott seems to be too busy to churn out the final episodes. One excuse after another. It is like investing time watching a good play but the cast gets tired and goes home before the last scene. Scott obviously hasn’t learned the show biz axion “The show must go on”. Never again will I start an unfinished Sigler podiobook - maybe none at all. I lost interest and have already finished two other podiobooks in the time it took Scott to move from chapter 30 to 31. I am deleting Nocturnal from my feeds and won’t donate for this one. You let me down Scott!

  15. Nephilim Says:

Scott had family health issues. Family comes first. Scott didn’t let me down. Keep up the good work, Scott! I’m sure you’ll be able to scrape by some kind of way without this guys donation.

    FDO for life!

  16. Oaken Says:

Love this tale so far. Family first, good quality is worth waiting for!

  17. blittle Says:

This Spenser guy is kidding, right?

Family first! Scott, keep doing what you do, boo. I wait for quality and will always remember that the artists I look up to are human, not production machines.

Found a continuity error in there. You said Anna Pou is 45 then said she hadn’t seen the old man for 30 years. Problem math or a 15-year-old police officer?
