Genre fiction, by its very nature, is formulaic and methodic, whether written by an American or created in some other country. One doesn’t read or listen to a story like this to be overwhelmed by complexities. Capitol Coven is like warm fleece under a moonless sky. It’s comforting, and sometimes that is what one is seeking in their next read. The story is a fun ride with just enough twists, turns and topples to keep the pages turning… or the I-Pod shuffling as it were. There is no doubt it is a raw read, as are many in this FREE format. That someone would complain about a performance on a book they downloaded for absolutely nothing is absurd. But raw as it is, the listener quickly becomes accustomed to the delivery and gets to the business of enjoying the story. The characters are well drawn, the scenes move along nicely and the plot executes with timing and flair. Maybe the preceding foreigner should partake in an English class in the morning and take etiquette lessons after tea. The narrator tries to do different voices on the cast, but only have three different voices (normal, mickey mouse with a throat infection and the last one sounds like someone dying from cancer), so it gets very confusing since there is a lot more than three persons in the cast but only three identical voices. The story is total crap. We have heard this story a million times before. This is SO American. You find a safe recipe used millions of times before and just populate it with a bunch of typecasts and you're home free...booooooring and predictable as he#¤% Heard it before, seen it before. Soft man meats tough woman, and they hate each others guts. So it's just a question of time before they fu#¤&. Them two and an oldtimer pig alone against the world. The rest is just a matter of wading through it, you always know what's up next long time before it happens. Grand finale takes place in a devil worshipers den on capitol hill, with sneaks and witchcraft, sex orgies, human sacrifice and the whole nine yards.... Believe me, you don't wanna waist your time on this garbage. POS This author should seek a job in the American TV series factories.
