Will Lunacon be the podiobook con?
Bill DeSmedt is the author behind Singularity. He’s also pushing hard to get as many podiobook authors to Lunacon on March 14-16, 2008 in Westchester, New York. Lunacon doesn’t command nearly the same kind of attendance that Dragon*Con offers, but it is the only science fiction convention in the Metro NYC area, from what I understand.
Last year, Bill was joined by Jack Mangan (Spherical Tomi) and the two lead a small podcasting forum. This yea, Bill is hoping to increase the ranks of authors who will attend. I can tell you that listeners will have a much greater chance of real-time interaction with their favorite authors in a smaller venue, so with luck, a few will attend and a few more of you listeners might attend as well!
(And no, we don’t only have scifi titles here on the site. But we have a lot, so this makes sense to a lot of people.)

What does a Podiobook author have to do to get involved in this?

Tim –
If you’ll send your email address to me at author-at-singularitythebook-dot-com, I’ll forward it to the Lunacon programming team.
Thanks for the post, Evo — and we’ll hope to see YOU there as well.
Anybody else?
Bill

Have you mailed the Program Dept of Lunacon? I can’t see that they would be unwillingto work with you to make this happen, and arrange for panels along those lines.
