Friend The Podiobooker on Shelfari
We’ve been peripherally aware of Shelfari, a very cool social media site for book lovers, for several months now. Speaking personally, I sort of skipped over it, as it relies on ISBN numbers to pull book details and our serialized audiobooks don’t have ISBNs.
But then it hit me: Many of our free podcast novels do in fact have other editions which have real ISBN numbers.. Bing! Here’s a great community that is sharing books, and we can use the print versions of some books to drive interest to the free podiobook version over here! Why didn’t I think of this before?
Anyhow, if you are a member of Shelfari, please consider adding The Podiobooker as a friend and joining the I Listen to Podiobooks group. I’m going to be listing all of our titles that have corresponding editions with official ISBNs over the weekend. Eventually, I’d like to talk to the folks that run the site about getting all of the podibook versions up on their site as well. Never hurts to try, right? And since we’re soon to hit 200…
