Oh, there’s plenty (and I mean PLENTY) of action and adventure in book two, Doorway of Darkness. This first novel was more an origin tale than anything else, basically setting up what’s to come. I’d say the story got better towards the end. There was a bit more action and adventure but I’d like to see more. The love story never really seemed to develop quite enough and the hero never really took advantage of his powers he just seemed like a depressed stump on a log. I’m hoping that in the next installment he’ll embrace his reality a bit more and the story will pick up.

I want to like Axiom-man. I’m trying to like Axiom-man. I’ve given it five episodes so far and have decided to give it one more.

So far I feel like I’m drowning in exposition: lots of internal monologues with the characters explaining to themselves how they feel about things and what their intentions are. If you asked me to describe the plot, though, I’d have a hard time since I don’t feel like anything has actually happened yet. Dear characters: please do something soon or I won’t be around to hear about it.

The concept is interesting but so far the main character hasn’t risen above boring and cliche-ridden. I’m trying to stay tuned but it’s getting really hard.

Great concept. I like the fact that he’s vulnerable and his powers are somewhat limited. I just have one question. Why is the general’s uniform navy blue? I’m not trying to be nitpicky, and after 11 chapters if that’s all we find, that’s pretty good. Please keep up the good work. I work in a call center myself and you’re right on the money.

Got a new mic today. Will be using it from Episode 9 onward. Episode 8 utilizes a new equilizer for the audio. There should be a marked improvement in sound quality from Chapter Five (Episode onward and even better from Episode 9 onward.

I like the story so far. I don’t like how the volume of the narration tends to rise and drop all the sudden. Maybe a mic you can wear will solve this issue. The flow of your reading is quite good but sometimes to fast and choppy. Keep posting your podcasts… I really appreciate your efforts!
