Hutchins gets press, Terra misquoted

Good news: J.C. Hutchins has a great write up in the Broward-Palm Beach New Times. Lots of good things are said, including:

  • I’m apparently his mentor,

  • Scott Sigler predicting that publishers will get in the space, so the time for the little guy is now,
  • … and “Sleep Is for Pussies.”

In other news, the following quote was attributed to me:

A lot of the books that are written every year, the reason they´re not published is because they suck

Now I see why Jason Calacanis and Dave Winer aren’t big fans of phone-interviews — unless they are recorded. Chalk this up to yet another learning experience. Where last time I pissed of a large genre with a misquote, this time I’m attacking all the underpublished authors. Nice.

Regardless, it’s a good article for J.C.. You can find 7th Son Book 1 and Book 2 on the site right now. Book three launches July 7th, so don’t miss it.

You should know by now that “no good deed goes unpunished.” If you’ve been following Sigler, you should be DOUBLY aware of this!

WHat were we all called? “Web-scabs” or something?

I enjoyed the article, thanks for pointing it out.

There’s lots I could quibble with, but generally that article put podcasting in terms that laypersons could understand. Definitely the subtext was if you don’t know about podcasting then you are missing out.

    No question there.

    Wow,

Ya, me and Swoopy now ALWAYS turn on our hybrid and we even have a whole directory on our studio network hard drive where ALL our interviews are recorded…. that way we can play the ‘real’ stuff we said on our show if someone gets it that wrong! :|

  4. Scott Sigler Says:

Sleep IS for pussies, man! And accurate quotes are for pussies, too!
