When I first saw Jeremy’s link elsewhere I checked it out and was immediately impressed by the content. It was only fitting that he put the work up at Podiobooks. Welcome to the community, JJ!

  3. Jeremy James Says:

Thanks for that, Dianne. I’m very excited to have joined all the other talented folks!

There is nothing I like to read about more than a compelling strong man who is up against a mysterious enemy. Jequon, the main character, is like a modern James Bond combined with the wisdom of a being as old as the world itself. A fun, action packed read so far!

love it! i love the story, your voice, your accent, your style, the music…
i prefer it when an author reads his stuff himself rather than having others read it, and you’re doing a great and flawless job.

This book moves from crouch to full sprint in a matter of only moments and then doesn’t let up. A fascinating mythos and milieu–obviously there is some deep history lurking here.

    Check it out.

  7. Madolyn Davis Says:

  10. Jeremy James Says:

I just wanted to thank everyone for leaving feedback on THE VEINGEL. This is very encouraging. Next episode drops this evening.

  11. Pierre Says:

Can’t wait for the next episode. Really good story. Keep it up! I agree with Laura, episodes too short but wow.

  12. Da Hooch Says:

It’s 2-28-2008… I intend to check back in about 18 months from now when I assume that this book will be finished. Other than that, I think it is great!

  13. Tamara Says:

Love, love, love this book…thus far. I have become incredibly impatient waiting for new episodes and my husband has threatened to ban me from the website if I cannot control my outbursts (jk). But really, I look forword to work when I have a new episode to listen to. Even with my headphones in, I make everyone around me be quiet and absolutely no talking to me unless there is an emergency. Since all I do is solder electronic components…I really don’t see any need to interrupt me. Keep up the great work and keep it coming!!!

  14. authorjeremyjames@gmail.com Says:

Tamara just made my day. New Episode dropping soon! Thanks for the support!

  15. Jeremy James Says:

Episode 027, which was scheduled to drop on 9-21-08, will be delayed due to a computer crash which corrupted the audio files during editing. New target release date: 9-28-08. Full details, and other announcements, here:

My sincere apologies to all the hungry veingels needing to suck the last drop from the feed.

  16. Bonnie Says:

I too love this book! I have gone so far as to start stalking the poor man on his website! I listen on my walk to work in the morning.FANTASTIC! I can’t wait to “suck the last drops” from this book! I hope beyond hope that it will eventually see print! Love ya JJ!

  17. martha Says:

I love this book and have recommended it to several of my friends. Well written, fun read, great characters thanks so much.

  18. Jeremy James Says:

Thanks so much for the kind praise, Martha. You too, Bonnie. My readers and listeners rock!

  19. Carmen Says:

Jeremy, I just want to thank you for this story. I LOVE it. I am always a little disappointed when I reach the end of each episode because I have to wait for the next one. (I guess I’m a little greedy.) The story is well worth the wait. Thank you.

  20. Jeremy James Says:

Carmen, that is so sweet of you. I’m glad you’re enjoying the story. I know I’m having a lot of fun writing it! Stay in touch.

  21. Rob Says:

Jeremy, Great book. You really know how to tell a story. The audio quality is awesome. Don’t change a thing. I’m really happy that you have begun to release episodes on a more regular basis. I look forward to the next one. I know I will be listening to the entire book a second time at its conclusion. It is just that damn good.

  22. Jeremy James Says:

Rob, thank you for those kind words! It makes me very happy to know you’re enjoying the story. I am honored and humbled.

  23. Mario Colon Says:

Jeremy, Totally enjoying the Veingel podcast. Excellently written and read. This may sound strange but, great voice. I have found quite a few podcasts that, according to their descriptions, sound like they would very interesting. Unfortunately, I couldn’t handle the reader’s voice, so…. I find myself waiting for new episodes each week. Please keep them coming. Take care.

  24. Jeremy James Says:

Mario, I really appreciate the compliment, and I’m stoked you’re enjoying the story. By the way, nothing strange about the “great voice” feedback. I get that a lot from people, even outside of podcasting. Maybe I should get into voice overs? On second thought, maybe I should just keep striving to write faster! Yeah, that’s a better idea! Anyway, thanks again. It’s a privilege to entertain you.

  25. The Mad Prophet Says:

I have been a a part of the SOJJ (Stalkers Of Jeremy James), which is not to be confused with the SOJ in the book, since you have had Ep. 3 posted and I can only say thank you Jeremy! I love the alternate history/ lore of the vampires. From all the books I have read/ listened to only three writers had done enough background work to break away from the Anne Rice typical, classical hum-drum vampire novels. Brian Lumley, Christopher Golden and now yourself. From what I have seen and heard so far there is no reason your book should not be sitting along side their’s at the local Boarders or B & N. You may ask yourself “is it really that good?” and the answer is YES. Please keep kicking ass and do not take no for an answer.

As for questions… What authors inspired you to write? and… Who are the other voices in the story?

  26. Jeremy James Says:

Mad Prophet: Holy shite, what kind, kind, words you’ve just shared with me. I am literally glowing after that wonderful praise.

I’m not sure if you’re aware of the “extended version” of THE VEINGEL podcast, but I will be reading your feedback during the pre-episode chatter, that, incidentally, I’m about to record. Look for the answers to your questions there. Available at http://www.theveingel.com via the RSS feed in the sidebar.

  27. Pierre Says:

Don’t leave us hanging man! Any word on a new episode? The story is very good and I can’t wait ; )

  28. Jennifer Says:

This book has been slow in coming, I wish the episodes came out with more frequency, as I would like to hear the conclusion of this story. It is the podcast that has been in my queue the longest.

  29. Peter Says:

How long is this book going to be? It sounds great and I want to be able to get the whole thing soon.

  30. Joni Says:

Great book but no new episode in 2 months..really? Not bustin your chops, just means we like it.

  31. Pierre Says:

Three months without an episode or worse, not even an explanation! I will have to start over from the beginning when it’s over… then again, maybe I will skip it altogether.

  32. liz Says:

so what ever happened with this book? i’d love to see how it all ended up. and now the book site (www.theveingel.com) is shut down? please finish this book!!!!
