Comments cleanup

Just a quick note to let everyone know that I’m embarking on a cleanup tour of the comments. Because we don’t have a good “report a problem with this episode” system in place, the blog has been a very popular place for people to… report problems with episodes. Go figure.

And while we appreciate this and understand it’s a perfectly legit way to report problems (and we’ve had our fair share), leaving “this episode won’t download” comments live for any length of time — even after they have been resolved — could conceivably deter potential listeners from subscribing to a book. And we certainly don’t want that.

So while it may be a great faux pau in the world of blogging, some comments that point to resolved problems are going to be removed from the site. If possible and relevant, I’ll leave parts of comments in place, simply editing them to get rid of the mention of resolved issues. Everyone cool with that? Great. Onward.

Thank god for that. I don’t speak French, so this website would be completely impossible to negotiate for me.

Very good idea, I’m all for some clean up, as long as I’m not the one who has to do it !

And speaking of French, does anybody knows if there is an equivalent of Podiobooks.com in French ?
