Thank you so much for your book. Wonderfully written, wonderfully read. It sounds true enough that you cant help but be taken by it. At the same time, there are times you would prefer to be able to think it is just another fiction ...

Do you have a plan to have it translated in french ? I would like to offer this book to a couple of friends, but most of them dont read english well enough (I'm from Switzerland).

Thanks a lot and please, keep writing !

Charles, I really enjoyed listening to your work. Thanks for taking the time to share this with the world. I confess that I had no idea--I must have been asleep with the rest of the country in '91. I'm glad to have been shaken awake.

A dark and disturbing look into the psyche of a war veteran. Some days I couldn't stop listening and other days I was too disgusted with the thought of what was to come to actually listen. The book felt very real, almost too real for comfort.

At some points the audio quality wasn't so great, but overall the book was quite impressive.

I suppose I'll be the first. I've listened to the first few chapters and the review was dead on. Stark and disturbing. Sometimes life is what it is. I don't know the background of the author but the military aspects of the novel are accurate. The areas were he talks about redeployment back Stateside are true to form. What really got me hooked on this novel were the little details. Being uncomfortable without your weapon and dealing REMFs who belittled your war time experiences. All in all it seems like a promising start.
Reader beware, this novel deals with graphic situations that might be unapprorate for the workplace etc.

Please feel free to drop any question or comments about the book, either here or back on my site! Prayer at Rumayla is now back in print and available at Amazon.com, and I'm always interested in hearing comments.
