Long Way From Disney Hits Very Close to Home.

There is an ever-growing list of writers podcasting their fiction on
the web. Some of them actually get it right, transporting you to a time and a place you've never been to before. Seth Harwood clearly gets it
right. What sets him apart is his ability to transport you back to a
time and a place in _your own_ life with his short stories in a Long
Way from Disney. Whether it's about the awkwardness felt in a given
situation, the examination of small victories in adolescence, or
the confusion of a child learning that the world's grey not black and
white, you'll say to yourself, "Hey, I've been there." His mastery of
the introspective moment will have you believing in the characters as
if they were your friends... or even yourself.

Seth's podcasts are amongst the best sounding out there, with an audio
quality that will have you thinking he has a $30,000 Bay area studio.
The creator of the "Jack Palms" Series, including "Jack Wakes Up" and
"This is Life" takes his rightful place amongst the podcasting elite.

Great book! A little hard to listen to because the stories are so emotional...if you're feeling a bit blue its best to wait till your feeling up. Is this a bad thing? No way thats just how good the writing is!

Real down and dirty stories. I guess they would be described as dramas, either way they are quite unique on Podiobooks and I've enjoyed them.

Hey hey hey,

Some time back, I stopped posting episodes to A Long Way from Disney, which some of you may have noticed. I announced on my episodes that my plan was to put Disney on hold while I put out Jack Palms II: This Is Life, but I've recently realized (thanks Evo!) that I neglected to tell the Podiobooks audience about this. So here's the plan:
A Long Way from Disney will come in two parts (I and II) with Part I being already posted. I'll be posting the remaining selection of stories, Part II, this fall, as soon as JP2 comes to an end--probably in late October or early November. For those of you who're following JP2, this means I'll be keeping you full of SethHarwood.com content through until the new year if not longer. For those of you who're strictly fans of the Disney stories, I hope you'll pardon the interruption as Jack Palms takes center stage in my podcasting life. Know that more stories will be coming your way in a little while.

The other big news is that my goal is to start podcasting Jack Palms 3 (!!!) as early as February of 2008 so that I'm into the action on March 16th, PALMS SUNDAY, when Jack Wakes Up hits Amazon.com and we all Shake 'Em Down Sigler-style and shoot for the Top Ten! We can do it! Say it with me: "I'm a Palms Daddy/Momma!!"

Thanks for your support.

I have problems downloading the book — stuck at chapter 4… Currently the only option seem to be manually downloading the files.
I tried releasing all episodes, but the podiobooks.com server seems to crash when I do this.

I really love the stories and I'm quite frustrated with not being able to get the next one.

This is top quality writing. Seth reveals not only his more sensitive side, but another layer of his talent as a storyteller. Honest, insightful and deeply human: we don’t just see the world through Adam’s eyes; we feel it with his heart. It’s beautiful stuff, well done Seth.

What a great idea this site represents! As a new (co-) author from Australia, I understand, only too well, the difficulties that authors face, trying to get published then trying to assist in the marketing of their books.

Co-author Michelle and I spend a lot of our time travelling around Western Australia and some of the other states with a presentation on how we managed to co-author a book and still remain together. These presentations, along with a journal that records our travels, have been our most successful way of marketing our book "Fragments". Using a podcast is something that would never entered our heads but for this site. Thank you.

Thanks!
"Jack Palms II: This is Life" is underway and will be ready in not too long.
or maybe it'll be "This is Life: a Jack Palms novel"

Look for it in Summer 07 (the podcast summer blockbuster)! Updates and more info (a preview?) coming soon on the story podcasts.
