Hokely Carp!

I listened to this non-stop over the course of two days at work - I even found make work and cleaning to do to stretch out the day so I could finish the whole thing. Absolutely amazing - on par with Adams, Barker, and Hubbard in its scope, depth, and character development. Zan, you have to write the sequel, or at least make a source book for an RPG system.

Wow. I just listened to the entire book over the course of about a week (when I should have been studying for finals). After the first couple of episodes I couldn't stop myself. Masterfully done. I concur with JaneInPA; prospective listeners should not hesitate to get started on this book. Unless, that is, you have finals coming up soon.

Wow! I'll admit, I was a little intimidated by the sheer size of the book, but..for those considering it - don't hesitate. You can tell from the other comments - you'll want more! Zan, like the rest, I would certainly love a sequel - but please, take you time. You've set the bar wonderfully high, with this one. Thank you for writing and recording in this format.

Hi Al,
Glad you enjoyed the book. I'm afraid there won't be a sequel appearing soon, but keep an eye on the website (www.the-corridor.info) or subscribe to its rss feed so that you know when it arrives.

I was a bit daunted, at first, by the length of the book, but I finally downloaded it all and listened with rapt attention. It was utterly fantastic and I would certainly read/listen to a sequel.

Hi, Greg. Thanks for the positive feedback. Unfortunately, the sequel is still just a bunch of ideas and notes at the moment. Hopefully I'll get the time to write it before too long.

I hope a sequel is in the works.... Is it???

I really enjoyed this book one of the best i have heard. This would make a really good movie as it has all the ingredients of action horror and high adventure.

This is a fantastic book, I enjoyed it very much. The imagery was so vivid, several times could picture that it would make a great movie. I would love the opportunity to a sequel or another work by the author.

Now that I'm done, I'm so glad the ending was a little, well, open-ended, leaving room for a sequel. Should Zan write one? Good golly, I sure hope so. I'd upload it in a heartbeat!

There were many characters in this story, but you got to know them all. The universe they inhabit was fascinating. None of the characters were one-dimensional but, rather, multi-faceted (just like the corridor). You never knew what to expect or what was going to happen next. The story line wasn't predictable, which is what made it so very engaging.

I highly recommend this book for mature audiences (adults and older teenagers -- think "R" rated movie) for the (albeit infrequent) sexual references and language.

Just finished this book. Zan has a terriffic imagination and has created a lush and vivid world. Feels sort of like a Clive Barker fantasy. My only regret is that I listen to it while i'm at work, and I'm fairly certain I missed a lot. I'll have to listen to it again.

I'm only through book 3 of this story, but I'm really, really enjoying it. FINALLY, someone that actually knows how to write! I can't begin to tell you what a welcome change that is from the likes of those that think they can write, and are even quite prolific, but have absolutely no clue about how to truly write.

On the other hand, thus far, the author of THIS book has been able to paint the action scenes very vividly. The conversations are lively and peppered with words denoting speech besides the very dull, "he said, she said" (which becomes so tiresome). My only nit is the loooooong intro music to each episode. Fifteen or twenty seconds would be fine, but 60 seconds is a little on the long side.

However, I'm anxious to see how the rest of the story plays out. I normally wait until I'm done listening before posting my opinion, but this book was so good, I couldn't wait. I'll post a final comment when I'm done.

Thanks for the breath of fresh (or in the case of book 3, stagnant, stale, putrid) air.

A story as enjoyable as The Corridor deserves success. Good to see it is still going strong! All these positive comments are surely making another novel more likely.

I'm guessing that Zan is a lot busier now than he was when he first started writing The Corridor, so I'm not holding my breath, but I can (and will) drop by and clamor now and again.
