Wikipedia expert needed
I did a search on Wikipedia today (installed some new software and it came with a built-in Wiki search) and noticed that the link with 100% relevance to “podiobook” was a link to a “this page does not yet exist in Wikipedia” note. Seems ironic that the most relevant is something which doesn’t exist, but who am I to argue?
Entries for the usual band of suspects (Hutchins, Sigler, me) are also included, but the general concept of a podiobook is oddly missing. Time to change that. But I need someone who’s crafty in the ways of Wikipedia to do it.
First, I’m not looking for a promotional piece on Podiobooks.com. The gurus at Wikipedia frown on that anhow, and it’s not my goal. Rather, I need someone to create a factual and historical entry on this specialized form of serial audio books — podiobooks. Sure, I could do it, but I’m crappy with wiki-code and it sounds a little jaded coming from me, doncha think?
I can supply some history. Do a search on The Dragon Page for “podiobook” and you’ll see lots of documents. They start with this one and move forward. Google will be a great resource, since Wikipedia really likes it when you cite your sources, so provide links, please. And again, I don’t want someone writing a glowing review of Podiobooks.com. We’re just a place to get podiobooks. A damn fine place, mind you, but it’s the whole meme of the “product” I want to get spread.
