More Sonic Fiction

More Sonic Fiction podiobookNarrator Jeff Kafer returns with a brand new collection of short stories from a few names which you might recognized if you’ve been hanging out at Podiobooks.com for any time:

More Sonic Fiction is the short story anthology sequel to the successful Sonic Fiction exclusively at Podiobooks.com.

Like its predecessor, More Sonic Fiction does not fit into any one genre. Instead, it is an exciting mix of today’s best short stories contributed by authors from Sonic Fiction, other Podiobooks.com authors, and some new faces. These raw and unflinching stories include futuristic science fiction, political and religious satire, heartfelt prose, enchanting fantasy, comedy, drama, and even a dash of horror.

Not all the stories are for everyone, but everyone can find a story. So sit back and relax. Grab a favorite drink, and once again, let us tell you a story…

when I finish the first Sonic Fiction podcast, I’ll most definitely pick this one up too.
Sonic Fiction has really great stories, and I have good hopes for this series too. :)

Enjoyed these stories, too bad they are all over with now. My one complaint though is that there were several multi-part stories. I would have preferred to see stories that didn’t depend on me remembering what happened several weeks before.

I didn’t like every story in this collection. But it has kept me interested in listening to the others. Though, at the moment I haven’t listened to every story yet (keeping it at 1 a week).

Just an advisory, it may not be for everyone (there are a few explicit stories, for instance Red Eyes).
But just try it, and see for yourself.

If you liked this short story anthology, you’ll love Inside Stories by Mike Yachnik, narrated by myself. Check it out at http://www.podiobooks.com/title/inside-stories/

Some of these stories were okay, but there were some that I found tedious. The writing was downright awful. There were two authors in particular that didn’t seem to understand that saying, “he said, she said, he said, she said, he said, she said, said, said, said, said” is BORING! There are so many other words in the English langues to denote conversation and they need to learn a few of them.

Of all of the stories, I think my favorite was “Skating on the Moon.” (At least I think that’s what it was called and that it was on this volume.) I liked how the beginning was tied into the end.

Overall, I rated this volume just so-so. Others are free to disagree.
