Best. Writeup. EVAR!

Note: misspelling of “ever” completely on purpose. It’s a WI! thing.

This site and several books received huge props and a brilliant description from Jeremiah, a person initially unimpressed with the podosphere. What changed his mind? Podiobooks.com, baby!

Here’s an excerpt:

Most of the podcasts I’d checked out didn’t hold my interest, and in my view amounted to people I didn’t know rambling about topics I didn’t have quite that much interest in. The beauty of Podcasting, as with most web technologies, is that anyone can do it. The problem is also that anyone can do it, and just as I couldn’t care less about 99% of the web sites out there, I just didn’t care about most of the podcasts I initially came across.

That all changed when I discovered Podiobooks.com in a comment left on Digg.com.

Check out the very detailed posting on his site and help spread it around. It’s perfect!

Thank you so much for, well, for noticing me at all, really. This is the first time I’ve been linked by someone I didn’t already know, and I’m a bit overwhelmed. I just put a lengthy comment on my site, I won’t repeat it all here except to say thank you for doing what you’re doing. As both an aspiring writer and a devoted reader (or listener, in this case), this site and others like it are both comforting and terribly exciting.

Also a note to all of the authors featured on this site, not only are you providing hours upon hours of entertainment for free, you’re an inspiration for having the tenacity and guts to get this far. I’m trying my best to shed all of those little excuses and hangups that have kept me from doing the same, with a little luck and a lot of hard work maybe I’ll be among you some day.
