Podiobooks.com and Escape Pod at the PME

Last year’s Portable Media Expo was a blast. Not only did I get to hold Podcasting for Dummies in my hand for the first time, I also got to meet a bunch of very nice people in the podosphere. Within hours of arriving, it was obvious that I would be going back.

This year, I’m actually presenting at the conference. I’ve pulled another podcasting pioneer, Steve Eley of Escape Pod, along with me. Together, we’ll be presenting Podcasting the Written Word on Friday afternoon, September 29th.

Please let me know if you are coming. Admission to the expo floor is free, but there is a fee to attend the sessions. When I’m not in my panel, I’ll likely be on the floor as that’s where all the cool podcasters hang out.

    You know I’ll be there, buddy! I hope to see as many podiobook authors as possible!

    Will there be a podiobooks booth?

    There will be no booth, unfortunately. Booths at the PME are rather pricey, and we just don’t have the revenue stream to justify the expense.

    I’m pretty sure I’m going to make it since I’m close. Somehow… someway… there needs to be a plan for an after-hours PodioBash one of the nights. I bet the funds could be raised if alcohol consumption was the ‘good cause’. Maybe my optimism is ungrounded.

    You neglected to mention WHERE the PPME is being held…CALIFORNIA!!!

    I’d need special innoculations to attend, and I HATE getting shots! Would love to attend, alas I’m just going to have to wait until it’s held in a civilized state.

    Yes, innoculations are the only way we can prevent the mad-cow desease from spread throughout all the steers. ;)
