Irish Literary Revival

Every time I hear of someone else trying to find ways to get more books in the hands (or ears) of more people in a “free culture” environment, I get warm fuzzys all over.

You may wish to check out the Irish Literary Revival.

This is where out-of-print and out-of-circulation Irish books are brought back into the world. Although our name is a pun, our intentions are serious. Many authors have books that are long out of print, or are not stocked in bookshops, with little or no hope of new editions in the near or distant future. Our aim is to bring those books back.

Go now, and download a few titles. Better yet, ask your favorite Irish author to submit to the project.

Many thanks, Evo, for your kind comment on Slimming for the Beach. Patrick Chapman (patrickchapman.net, my fellow ‘librarian’ at Irish Literary Revival) and I are a bit frazzled, having got this idea up and running in a month or so, and we have to return to our own writing - but he sends his thanks and interest.
I’ve put links to podiobooks.com and podiobooker from Slimming for the Beach and www.irishliteraryrevival.com/links.html and have subscribed to your text RSS. So I’ll be keeping up with your news.
Thanks again, and all the best for a great site and concept.
